Dorsh is a ‘Jamenglican’ (JA/UK/USA) singer-songwriter | producer currently in the process of releasing his second studio album entitled ‘UI | UX’ . As a hybrid UI Developer and UX Designer, Dorsh saw an opportunity to help bridge the gap between minority groups and the tech industry via his music. The song themes and lyrics from the album subliminally explore terminology within the UI|UX disciplines, while channeling the classic Dorsh ‘ragga soul’ sound. Dorsh has over 5+ million streams on Spotify and Apple Music, his songs ‘Je t’aime’ and ‘Seduction’ were featured in Echo Park on Netflix and he has been featured in South Korea’s TV series Heart Signal. Throughout his career in both music and tech, Dorsh has worked with celebrities, world-renowned athletes, global brands and local companies. Dorsh has as B.A. in Music Industry Studies, a Master’s Degree in Human-Computer interaction and a slew of industry certifications. Dorsh’s talk will demonstrate how he used the Stanford d.School User Centered Design process to create his new full-length album, ‘UI | UX’.
