Diana Lee Caplinger heads the Digital Discovery and Marketing Technology division at Truist. She leads the technology delivery, operations and financial management under the Digital and Innovation CIO. She is responsible for the technical strategy, execution, agile application, and delivery in support of the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Communications Officer, and Voice of Client Executive. As a key member of the executive Truist merger team, she leads with integrity and motivates her team. She is a seasoned information technology executive and an accomplished leader with over seventeen years of success delivering digital, financial, and supply chain programs. Diana is dedicated to excellence with an exceptional track record for directing and delivering complex, innovative and transformational solutions.
Prior to the merger, Diana was the Chief Administrative Officer at SunTrust Bank. Her experience includes senior management positions in the financial, food & beverage, multi-media and automotive industries. A dynamic and driven trailblazer, Diana is known for developing strategies and roadmaps that expedite value realization and drive profitability.
She is member of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Technology Advisory Council and volunteers her time to teach about financial literacy. Mrs. Caplinger is passionate about financial literacy and STEAM education. She is a highly sought after public speaker and actively participates in CIO magazine’s Executive Women in IT forums.
She is a certified Project Management Professional, Scrum Master, Microsoft Technology Specialist, and Six Sigma Greenbelt. She has an Executive MBA from Georgia State University and a Computer Information Systems degree from Florida A & M University. In 2018, she completed the Emory Executive Women program. She was recently recognized as an Experience Maker by Adobe and received the SunTrust Performance Excellence Award in 2017. Diana is the Women in Technology, 2018 Woman of the Year for the Large Enterprise Category.
